Intercellular Changes in Trauma, Depletion and Repair - with Reference to Burns.

Abstract

The objective of this study was the improvement of the therapy of trauma through the study of its cellular and metabolic effects. Since 1950 the investigations have centered on the problem of burns. Patients with endocrine diseases such as Cushing's disease and with perforated duodenal ulcers have been included. The studies have been carried out both at fundamental physiologic and clinical levels. (Author)
