AIRCO 'MIXMAKER' Mark II System for Gas Mixing.

Abstract

From requirements and specifications developed by the Navy Experimental Diving Unit, a contract was let to Air Reduction Company to construct and deliver an automatic gas mixing system capable of mixing a variety of gases at different percentages for deep diving operations. The system was designed to have pressure and flow rate capabilities sufficient to provide gas either to storage via a boost compressor or directly to the divers. The MIXMAKER system underwent extensive testing prior to Navy acceptance. (Author)
