Work Breakdown Structure.

Abstract

This is one of a series of reports designed for use in a guidebook for life-cycle cost analysis in the US Army Materiel Command (USAMC). The report is predicated on the fact that the practical application of the detailed work breakdown structure is largely controlled by the procurement and production agencies. As a consequence, the application of a work breakdown structure to cost analysis will of necessity reflect decisions made by those agencies. The first outlines the current practices; the second, recommended practices; and the third, an implementation plan for transforming the existing into the proposed situation. (Author)
