Determination of Physical and Chemical Structure of New High-Temperature Polymers

Abstract

Infrared and elemental analysis, thermal properties, and solubility of two polypyrrolone samples containing an anthraquinone moiety and of spiropolyimide were investigated. The molecular weight and subambient transitions of a perfluoroalkyl bibenzoxazole sample was also obtained. The effect of variation of temperature on the extent of solvent property coverage attained during solvent search was studied. The structure, thermal properties, and solubility of a spiropolyester sample were investigated.
