A Parametric Study of the Advanced Forward Area Air Defense Weapon System (AFAADS). Volume 2. Simulation

Abstract

This report describes the research effort of the Data Systems Division of Litton Industries, Inc., under Contract No. DAAG05-70-C-0328, with the U.S. Department of the Army, Frankford Arsenal. The objective was to perform a parametric study of the Advanced Forward Area Air Defense (AFAADS) Weapon System. Volume II describes a computer simulation model used to provide the capability of predicting the performance of proposed (or existing) antiaircraft gun systems against an aircraft in a one-to-one combat situation. Results of this effort were used to derive recommended configurations and conclusions as presented in Volume I.
