Recommendations for an Arctic Research Program in Support of the Design of a Surface-Effect Vehicle System.
Abstract
Report is given on a workshop conducted to assist the Advanced Research Projects Agency in formulating an arctic program to support the development of a large suface-effect vehicle system. The objectives were to determine what data are needed for the design of an SEV capable of arctic operation; to suggest how ARPA should proceed to collect the needed data; and to identify broader but related arctic programs.
