A Computational Method for Two-Dimensional, Axisymmetric and Three-Dimensional, Blunt-Body Flows (Program Attack).

Abstract

A computational method is presented for treating two-dimensional axisymmetric and three-dimensional, blunt-body flows. The method is a time-dependent technique which provides direct, exact, and unified solutions to the blunt-body problem. A computer code and instructions for its use are included. This code will consider flows about symmetric blunt bodies of arbitrary shape including angles of attack. Extensive comparison of results from this code with other numerical solutions and experimental data is accomplished. (Author)
