The Low Volumetric Flow Turbine Design.

Abstract

The final design of a low volumetric flow steam turbine in the 800 HP range is described. Static and simulated dynamic test data are presented on low leakage, hydrostatic seals used in the design of the turbine. Significant turbine performance improvement in the low specific speed range can be expected with this turbine design. (Author)
