The Social and Economic Organization of Two White Meo Communities in Northern Thailand

Abstract

The main objectives of the dissertation are the study of the socio- economic organisation of two small swidden or shifting cultivation communities and a descriptive analysis of the structure and content of the system of shifting cultivation practiced by these White Meo villages in northern Thailand.
