Biological and Medical Sciences Subelement Review of December 4, 1969.
Abstract
This is a report of the second annual review of the research program being conducted under Defense Research Sciences, Biological and Medical Sciences Subelement (61102N-41). This review was sponsored by the subelement monitor (ONR Code 440) and encompasses all work funded under the subelement. The participants in the subelement are the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery; Air, Ship, and Facilities Engineering systems commands; and a contract effort under the Biological and Medical Sciences Division of the Officer of Naval Research. The research program of the Naval Biological Laboratory is included. Immediately following the formal presentations the principal managers within the subelement met in executive session to devise recommendations concerning the future orientation of the effort. The results of this session are recorded in the final section of this report. It is the intent of this document to provide in one place a number of facts regarding this research effort for use by those responsible for its course and management. (Author)
