Continuous Gradient Ray-Tracing System (CONGRATS) III: Boundary and Volume Reverberation.

Abstract

A method of computing bottom, surface, and volume reverberation is described in this report. Acoustic levels due to various multipath arrivals are determined using ray-tracing techniques. Then, the reverberation is computed by integrating the levels over an appropriate region. A computer program utilizing this method has been developed by the Naval Underwater Systems Center on its UNIVAC 1108 computer and is documented herein. (Author)
