Application of an Image Classification Model to the Reconnaissance Problem.
Abstract
The purpose of this investigation is to determine the applicability of a proposed model for visual image classification to the problem of detection and classification of 'interesting' images in aerial reconnaissance data. The model is described and its mathematical properties discussed. The strengths and weaknesses of the model are revealed. Recommendations are made which should improve the model's performance with respect to the reconnaissance problem. (Author)
