Criteria for Ship MF Transmitting Antenna Systems.

Abstract

Data are presented on antenna types, performance, installation methods, and operational problems on existing ship mf transmitting antenna systems. The performance and characteristics of present antenna systems are compared with parameters defined for an ideal system. Results show that well designed, correctly installed and maintained shipboard mf transmitting antenna systems can satisfy Fleet requirements for communication distance in most of the operationally important areas of the world.
