Calibration and Comparison of Simulated Rain Fields with Natural Rains.
Abstract
Drop-size measurements of the simulated rain fields at Holloman Air Force Base are reported. These measurements are compared with drop-size spectra from natural rains in various climatic regions. Average drop-size spectra for tropical, temperate, and arctic climatic regions are presented for rainfall rates of 1, 0.5, 0.1, 0.01 percent of total time. (Author)
