Abstract

The volume constitutes an evaluation of the implications of trends identified with respect to Western Europe during 1970-1985 upon the national security of the United States. Included in this final portion of the study are a summary of current U. S. foreign policy trends and of institutional change in Western Europe, an identification of critical turning points which could affect indicated trends, and an enumeration of strategic options available to the U. S. and implications of each. (Author)
