Electronegative Materials.

Abstract

The chemical properties and the crystal structure of the compound 1,4-bisdiazocyclohexanetetraone, C6N4O4, are described. Polarographic reduction in aprotic solvents is irreversible, and is compared with the potentials for other acceptors. The X-ray crystallographic study shows that the molecule is most accurately represented as a bis(diazonium oxide) structure. (Author)
