Experimental MHD Generator Instrumentation and Installation.
Abstract
An Automatic Data Acquisition System and an Automatic Control System were designed, constructed and installed. The MHD test generator was placed into operating condition following the removal of certain parts of the system to AVCO Everett Research Laboratories to do further research under Contract F33615-67-C-1019. The control panel as installed by AERL was replaced by an automatic SRL control panel. An SRL Model 853 Data Acquisition System was installed. A signal conditioning system was provided to permit measurement of MHD voltages at 4000 volt levels. (Author)
