Accelerated Method for the Determination of Tool Life,

Abstract

A new accelerated method has been proposed of determining the duration dependences upon the single wear of the instruments, which is based on the principles of the relative wear in volume. When this method is used it is possible to obtain duration dependences of sufficient precision. Compared with the classical methods, it provides for a several fold decrease of the duration of the experiments, as well as of the expenses involved in tools and material.
