Mallard Communications Traffic Requirements (US). Annex A. Air Force Generic Needlines, Nodal Needlines, Unit Traffic Summary.

Abstract

The Generic Needline Report presents in alphanumeric sequence by unit code a generic listing of needlines and quantitative information flow in terms of voice, teletype, facsimile, command and logistics data, sole user and hot line circuits. Call minutes are separated into intra-base (IB), inter-nodal (IN) and intra-element (IE) needlines. The sole user and hot line requirements are given in terms of voice, teletype, facsimile and data traffic. A rate designation is also given for data, sole user and hot line circuits. The common user nodal needline report presents a sequential listing by node number of inter-nodal and intra-nodal common user needlines. Needlines are given in terms of voice, teletype, facsimile, command and logistics quantitative traffic data. Traffic flow is presented between nodes in both directions and a node pair traffic sum tabulation is given. The unit traffic summary report presents in alphanumeric sequence the unit code, unit description, and quantitative traffic flow for all units within the deployment. The traffic flow is given in terms of voice, teletype, facsimilie, command and logistics data. The sum of source traffic and the sum of sink traffic for each unit are listed separately for each mode. The sum of source and sink traffic for each unit is also furnished for each mode. (Author)
