Advanced Development of Electrofluidic Vibration Isolation Systems for Aerial Reconnaissance Sensors.

Abstract

The significance of this research and development effort to the Air Force is the demonstrated ability of electrofluidic vibration isolators to improve the performance of high resolution reconnaissance sensors. The objective of this effort was a better understanding of the capabilities and limitations of electrofluidic isolators and to provide equipment for evaluation. This report includes a description of the electrohydraulic and electropneumatic systems which were developed, the test results and the conclusions and recommendations established by this investigation.
