USS EDENTON (ATS-1). Standardization Trial Results Including Locked-Trailed Shaft Data.
Abstract
The report contains the results of standardization trials conducted on USS EDENTON (ATS-1). The standardization trials were run at a displacement of 3,200 tons even keel and 2,900 tons with a trim of 4 inches by the stern. Measurements were made to determine shaft revolutions per minute, shaft horsepower and propeller pitch over the ship speed range from 5 knots to the speed at design full power. The locked-trailed shaft tests were conducted at the 3,200-ton displacement. (Author)
