Analytic Mathematical Models of Tactical Military Communications Channels.

Abstract

The progress reported here relates to three areas of investigation. The first area deals with the construction of mathematical models to fit data gathered from experimental programs in the form of error statistics. The second area relates to the development of techniques for evaluating performances of error detection and correction to codes based on both the mathematical models and data from the channels. The third area considers the overall question of developing models for reliable transmission.
