An Analysis of Risk Assessment within Aeronautical Systems Division.
Abstract
In order to assess the risk that a weapon system cannot be developed at or below the estimated cost, it is necessary to employ methods which account for the uncertainties associated with the development process. This study examined the degree to which several costing methods were used within Aeronautical Systems Division, and found that newer methods were not being extensively used. (Author)
