Abstract
This Appendix covers the work performed in the area of sensor investigation. The sensor investigation includes a discussion of the parametric requirements, a description of technical approaches and sensor candidates, and appropriate discussions of tradeoffs, analyses and conclusions. As an outcome of the sensor investigation in which a number of improved sensing capabilities for an IEIS were recognized, work statements were written outlining recommended sensor development activities for consideration in subsequent phases of IEIS programs.
