PADD Test Set,

Abstract

A test set has been designed to check the Portable Acoustic Doppler Detector (PADD) sonar system. With the addition of an oscillator and an oscilloscope the test set provides testing of operation both of the complete electronics unit and of the individual electronic circuit cards. The electronics box can then be used to check the transducer staff and the battery pack, giving a bench test of the entire system. This report describes the design and operation of the test set.
