Human Engineering Study of Integrated Catapult Control Station Consoles.

Abstract

The report presents the findings of a human engineering study of the ICCS (integrated catapult control station) consoles conducted by an evaluation team from the Human Factors Engineering Division of the Naval Air Development Center. A proposed console arrangement corrects the human engineering deficiencies found in the existing system. Recommended changes should greatly increase the efficiency of ICCS operations and drastically improve safety of operations.
