MSA Universal Diving Mask for Scuba

Abstract

This evaluation was made to check characteristics of a prototype (MSA) Mine Safety Appliances scuba mask. The mask was tested objectively by breathing machine depth runs with respiratory pressure instrumentation, and subjectively by swimming runs with open and closed circuit scuba. Breathing machine test results are summarized as graphs of peak respiratory pressures against depth. Subjective test results are summarized narratively. The results are discussed constructively.
