Laser Communications Experiment Acquisition and Tracking.

Abstract

Experimental measurements of acquisition times and pointing accuracy of the 16 inch aperture optical communications laser telescope transceiver are reported. These parameters were measured in the presence of simulated background light, spacecraft disturbances, and beacon motion both separately and in combination. (Author)
