Advanced Conformal Array Antenna Techniques.
Abstract
The experimental and theoretical investigations performed during this program indicate that wide angle scanning can be realized with linear arrays located on groundplanes and also located on a generatrix of a 20 deg cone. Scanning from broadside to 10 deg from endfire for the planar arrays and in a direction along the tip of the cone was obtained. Measured far-field patterns and impedances of the radiating elements were in very close agreement with predictions based on simplified theoretical models. (Author)
