Abstract
The papers assembled in this report provide a prospective of the total parts activities relative to the type of effort required, contributions being made, and the demands for continued reliability improvement. The contents of the report include: (1) Preventive Action Through the Alert Program; (2) The Failure Analysis Function as a Means of Obtaining More Reliable Parts; (3) ESCA (Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis)--Application to Microelectronics Technology; (4) Testing LSI Microcircuits to Assure High Reliability; (5) A Quantitative Approach to Fuse Derating.
