Vibration and Shock Tests of the Navy BDU-12A/B and BDU-8A/B Practice Bombs.

Abstract

Vibration and shock tests were performed on Navy BDU-12A/B and BDU-8A/B practice bomb units for the Naval Weapons Evaluation Facility. The tests were performed for the purpose of determining the structural integrity for flight carriage after modification. Testing proved that the two units, as modified, will meet the acceptance criteria for being carried on Naval aircraft. The test procedures, test data, notations of test observations, and other pertinent information are presented. (Author)
