Environmental Systems for the Second Generation Air Mobility Program.

Abstract

Presented is an advanced look into concepts of wastewater treatment, potable water treatment, solid waste management, and transportation of influent and effluent liquids for the time span of 1975 to 1980. Most of the concepts presented require further study and development to be included into the second-generation USAF Air Mobility Program. The current state-of-the-art technology of these fields has also been investigated. Those concepts considered to have the most potential are combined to form recommendations for further study. Each concept evaluation was based on reliability, utility, and cost effectiveness. A matrix system for rating the concepts was developed by Boeing to aid in reaching a decision for making recommendations. (Author)
