Effects of Cold and Hypoxic Stress on Protein Metabolism, Brain Serotonin Concentration and Various Parameters of Thyroid Function.

Abstract

This report describes the development of a new radioimmunoassay for serum L-triiodothyronine, T3, studies concerned with new techniques for the measurement of the absorption of T3 and T4 in human subjects, studies leading to the measurement of the conversion rate of T4 to T3 in human beings, and preliminary investigations of changes in the serum T3 concentration of rats exposed to hypoxia.
