Compendium on High Power Infrared Laser Window Materials (LQ-10 Program)

Abstract

This Compendium gathers together and presents in concise outline form much of the essential data on materials which appear to show promise for use as high power infrared laser windows in the 10.6-micrometer and 3- to 6-micrometer regions. The data is presented in two ways: first, all candidate materials are ranked (based on their best measured values) and listed in terms of a particular key window parameter such as optical absorption, hardness, etc.; and second, pertinent data for a given candidate material are collected and presented as a single package, for example for KCl, or for CdTe, etc.
