SST Technology Follow-On Program, Phase I. Titanium Alloy 6Al-4V Mechanical Property Data.

Abstract

Tension, compression, shear, and bearing strength test data are presented for titanium alloy 6Al-4V. Processing and heat treat conditions represent material developments in support of the supersonic transport prototype program. Test data are included for sheet, plate, bar, forging, extrusion, and fusion-welded material. Data for test temperatures from 65 to 500 F are presented. (Author)
