Chlorine Barge Collision. Structural Analysis.

Abstract

The collision damage incurred by the chlorine barge SCC 620 on 19 March 1972 at Louisville, Kentucky, is analyzed from a structural viewpoint. It is estimated that the maximum force necessary to cause the observed damage was 1970 kips. The method of analysis and photos are also included. (Author)
