Airworthiness and Flight Characteristics Test CH-47C Helicopter (Chinook) Stability and Control

Abstract

The second phase of the CH-47C airworthiness and flight characteristics (A and FC) test program consisted of the stability and control test of the production helicopter. The CH-47C was evaluated to determine compliance with the military specification, MIL-H-8501A, with deviations as defined in the detail specification. The helicopter was also evaluated with respect to its mission as a transport helicopter. The CH-47C stability and control characteristics are acceptable for the transport helicopter mission.
