Salvage Equipment Pool - SUPSALV/NCEL (Safety, Handling and Operating Data for Small, Hydrazine Fueled Lift Devices and Other Miscellaneous Equipments).

Abstract

This report has been prepared to assist divers and support personnel with aspects of safety, handling and operating of hydrazine fuel salvage lift assist devices. The devices (and fuel for them) are located at the Naval Civil Engineering Laboratory, Port Hueneme, California where Navy divers receive periodic training in their operation and maintenance. This pool, augmented by other miscellaneous salvage equipments, and the trained personnel provide the Navy with a ready salvage capability for emergency incidents. The devices range in lift capability up to a nominal 8.4 long tons. (Author-PL)
