Analysis of Pursuit Guidance Systems Using Aerodynamically Stabilized Seekers.

Abstract

A simplified analysis of pursuit guidance systems is developed. This analysis provides predicted miss distance for gravity, target velocity, and wind velocity disturbances, as well as providing formulas for calculating the desired system guidance gain as a function of data rate, flow field bias, etc. These predictions are then compared with 6-D computer simulations.
