Determination of the Operational Phases of Cost-Effectiveness,

Abstract

Methods are presented of evaluating a system from the cost-effectiveness viewpoint (mainly, cost of ownership). The impact of reliability, maintainability, and other operational factors that are the largest contributors to the cost of ownership are considered. Various models are described for evaluating an aircraft avionics system. The method can also be used for sensitivity analysis by either the procuring agency or the using agency. (Author)
