TACTICAL RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM CONCEPT STUDY. VOLUME IV.

Abstract

This appendix includes, in some detail, the final results of modulation studies concerned with selecting the narrowband modulation scheme that is optimum for the Army's tactical radio nets. Paragraphs 1 through 3 examine, in detail, the merits of those modulation schemes warranting consideration in view of the specific requirements. Other modulation schemes have been examined and discarded as not being appropriate for these requirements. Paragraph 4 of this appendix provides new test results of the CVSD used in tests reported in ECOM-0068-4. Paragraph 5 provides data concerning the signal spectra of the modulation schemes.
