A Computer Code for Dynamic Stress Analysis of Media-Structure Problems with Nonlinearities (SAMSON). Volume IV. Analysis of GRABS Phase I Tests. Part 2. Appendixes IV, V, and VI.

Abstract

SAMSON, a two-dimensional finite element code, was developed for dynamic stress analysis of nonlinear media-structure problems. It is based on small strain theory and is applicable to axisymmetric and plane bodies with arbitrary material properties. This code is a modification of the existing SLAM code. Major modifications included incorporation of a new solution procedure and the addition of nonlinear structure and soil media constitutive laws. This volume contains selected time-history data output resulting from applying the code to analyzing a series of media-structure field tests.
