A Computer Code for Dynamic Stress Analysis of Media-Structure Problems with Nonlinearities (SAMSON). Volume III. User's Manual.

Abstract

Information required to set up the data deck and control cards, and a description of the types of output available from SAMSON are contained in this manual. Program input consists of the basic mesh and material data, a variety of loading options and special geometries, an optional modal structure, and various integration and output controls. The principal program output consists of stresses and strains in selected elements, and displacements, velocities, accelerations, pressures and applied forces at selected nodes. This information may be printed and/or written on a plot tape at regular time intervals. In addition, a history tape may be generated, which contains output information on all elements and nodes at regular time intervals.
