Ground Surveillance Radar AN/PPS-15.
Abstract
The AN/PPS-15 Radar Set is a lightweight, very short range combat surveillance radar operating at X-band at very low power. The present contract requires design, development, manufacture, and test of 13 Engineering Development Models. The set is capable of detecting, locating, and identifying moving targets such as personnel and vehicles. The set can be operated from four positions: (1) remote operation; (2) tripod mounted; (3) pintle mounted; and (4) physically suspended in front of the operator.
