Seeker and Sensor Systems Study.

Abstract

A seeker and sensor system study has been conducted with major emphasis placed upon techniques of optical fuzing. Results of a parametric study are presented which include consideration of optical fuze transmitter-receiver geometry, detection and processing of the signal returns and various noise contributions affecting the operation of such a fuze system. Optical fuze performance characteristics are presented to indicate expected receiver performance and trade-offs necessary in system design. (Author)
