Premature Simulator for Projectile Explosives.
Abstract
Final design details of the Premature Simulator and the results of development and calibration tests using explosive samples are described. Also described are the results of tests conducted on Explosive D in support of the recent 5 in./54 and 8 in./55 in-bore investigations, of pressure measurements made in projectile charges fired in 5 in./38 and 5 in./54 guns.
