Tiedown Tests of The Modified H-777 as a SRAM Payload Section Container.

Abstract

Static testing was performed on an H-777 container to determine its acceptability for carrying the SRAM payload in cargo aircraft. Several suitable tiedown configurations were devised and successfully tested. The base and side of the container suffered some permanent deformation at 6.72 g laterally. Yielding of the simulated internal suspension system occurred at 6.88 g longitudinally. (Author)
