AS-11B-1 Stereoplotter Peripheral Equipment Analysis.
Abstract
Future product requirements may lead to new peripheral equipment configurations for the AS-11B-1 Automated Analytical Stereoplotter. Possible future systems uses were analyzed and correlated with the need for additional peripheral devices. The future system uses examined were grid data, obscuration charts, radar prediction, off-line orthophotos, advanced cartographic system interface, comparator operation, dynamic targeting, and improved system performance. The modifications required to interface various peripheral devices were detailed. The devices examined were data link, disc memory, drum memory, unformatted magnetic tape transport, Formatted magnetic tape transport, cassette tape transport, cartridge tape transport, video terminal, card reader, page reader, line printer, and minicomputer. In addition, reseau measurement hardware and the expansion or core memory hardware modifications were examined.
