Multi-Mission Turbine Engine Propulsion Simulator Users Console. Volume I. Operating Instructions and Test Plan.

Abstract

A Propulsion Simulator Users Control Console has been developed which will automatically or manually provide for remote control of two propulsion simulators simultaneously or independently in a wind tunnel or calibration test cell. It provides manual control of the turbine bleed valve to vary mixer flow and therefore exhaust nozzle pressure ratio and flow function while maintaining constant RPM. The console monitors vital simulator functions and provides automatic shutdown and fault annunciation in case preset limits are exceeded. Volume I describes how to operate the console and recommends a test plan for initial checkout. Volume II (AD-910 497) describes the systems specifications and design details of the console. (Author)
