Solid Waste Practices at Small Air Force Installations and Bases Outside of the Contiguous United States.
Abstract
A questionnaire survey of Air Force solid waste practices was conducted on all active Air Force installations. A previous report entitled 'Solid Waste Practices in the United States Air Force' (Technical Report No. AFWL-TR-71-119) reported the information received on 98 major installations in the Zone of Interior (ZI). This report presents information on small installations in the ZI and on installations outside of the contiguous United States. The following areas are considered: storage and collection of base and family housing solid wastes, on-base, landfills, and solid wastes generated in sewage treatment. (Author)
